The referendum results showed that 99.73% of voters were in favour of the Anschluss. Original Nazi K98 Bayonet Marked "S.178G" with Matching Numbers and Leather Frog

This is an original earlier K98 bayonet that is maker-coded "S.178G" (Gebruder Heller of Marienthal maker in 1935). Both the bayonet and scabbard have matching serial numbers "5839h". The bayonet blade rates near excellent with the original blueing and no sharpening. The pommel and crossguard have smooth bluing with a few light freckle spots. The wood grip panels do have some gouge spots. The undented steel scabbard was, for some reason, painted a dull black which might come off but I haven't tried. The black leather frog rates fine with typical wear. Item #0314-3
